00:08 at the first week of August. Yes, August, I know, we've just had Easter haven't we?

00:13 Oh well, let's distract ourselves from the relentless march of time with some top happenings

00:17 in and around Lancashire to keep you out of mischief. For starters, you and the kids can

00:22 learn all about dinosaurs at the Loughborough Pavilion in St Anne's. Teach Rex uses life-like

00:27 dinosaurs to perform a one-hour show teaching children about the anatomy and life of one

00:32 of the most mesmerising creatures that have ever roamed our planet. The show is teamed

00:36 with effects and music and gives children and their families the chance to get up close

00:40 and personal with these fantastic realistic beasts. The show is suitable for children

00:44 of all ages, although three and above is recommended, and it has even proved to be extremely popular

00:49 with adults too. There's two shows on Tuesday, August 8th at 10 o'clock and 12.30, and tickets

00:55 are £11 for adults and £9 for children. Comedy next as we head up the coast to Blackpool

01:02 to find Joe Pasquale at the Beaver Show Bar. Joe's been showing off on stage for 40 years

01:07 and now he's bringing his favourite thing for another airing to show that things have

01:10 never been normal. Crowned 2004's King of the Jungle on ITV's I'm a Celebrity Get Me

01:15 Out of Here, the ever-popular helium-voiced entertainer has been dubbed the busiest man

01:20 in showbiz, and you can catch him at the Seaside on Thursday 3rd August and tickets are priced

01:25 from £20-50.

01:29 We stay in Blackpool next for the return of the Rebellion Punk Festival at the Winter

01:32 Gardens. Billed as the largest independent punk alternative music festival in the world,

01:37 over four days the very best in punk gather for the social event of the year. Headline

01:42 acts include The Damned, Big Country, Henry Rollins and the New Model Army, but there

01:46 is a whole lot more of acts appearing between the 3rd and 6th August. The day ticket is

01:50 £89.50, whereas you can get a full weekend ticket for £222.50.

01:58 Okay out in the open air now and to the countryside for the Garstang Show. It's an event designed

02:03 to bring the local community together to learn about, enjoy and celebrate farming, food and

02:08 the countryside. Watch the action in the main ring, shop delicious local produce in the

02:12 food hall and see beautiful floral displays and handmade crafts in the Horticulture Marquee.

02:18 Immerse yourself in agriculture with a packed timetable of livestock classes and trade stands

02:23 showcasing the best of our local businesses. It takes place on the Garstang Showfield on

02:27 Saturday 5th August and tickets on the gate are £15 for adults and a fiver for children.

02:34 Now then, lastly, who's feeling brave? Brave enough for a, hopefully, death defying leap

02:39 into the unknown. Because if you head to Tatton Park on Saturday 5th August you can try your

02:44 hand or your feet at the UK Bungee Club. This 300ft bungee jump is the highest regular jump

02:50 you will find anywhere in the UK. Tatton Park is a fantastic location with the jump itself

02:55 taking place over the vast picturesque lake. As you reach the dizzying heights you will

02:59 have a few seconds to appreciate the huge thousand acres of deer park and the stunning

03:04 scenery before you take the giant leap off the platform. Not for the faint hearted, this

03:09 experience is one you'll remember forever and it will cost you £120 and probably what's
