Police officers helps little girl he found alone and barefoot

This is the wholesome moment a police officer comforts a lost five-year-old girl spotted wandering the side of the road - barefoot and alone.

The officer, a sergeant, is seen offering the little girl a snack of strawberries and chocolate hummus - while colleagues in the Sheriff's office located her family.

But the sassy girl had the office in stitches when she asked: "Why don't you have donuts?" at which the laughing policeman explained the strawberry snack was much healthier than doughnuts.

The policeman popped a bicep and said: "These aren't donut muscles," to which the little girl responded "show me your muscles!"

The Jefferson County Sheriff's office revealed the little girl had simply wandered away from her family, who lived near by.
