Police are hunting a hit-and-run BMW driver after five people were seriously injured in a horror crash today (Thurs).
Five people, including an 80-year-old couple, were rushed to hospital after a BMW and an Audi collided on Tile Cross Road in Birmingham at 3am.
West Midlands Police are now appealing for any witnesses after the serious incident, urging drivers with dashcams to come forward.
The driver of the black BMW fled the scene, leaving behind an injured passenger in their car who was later rushed to hospital.
Four people in the Audi, including the elderly couple, were rushed to hospital along with a woman from the BMW.
A stretch of Tile Cross Road near Crosskey Close was closed as detectives launched an investigation.
Detective Sergeant Julie Lyman, of West Midlands Police, said: "We're continuing to work at the scene to establish what happened and are supporting relatives of those injured at this difficult time.
"We're working hard to identify the driver of the BMW and would urge them to hand themselves in immediately.
"We really need to hear from anyone with dashcam or other footage showing what happened."
