Birmingham headlines 18 July: Two West Midlands Police officers guilty of misconduct in public office
Two "predatory" West Midlands Police officers who engaged in sexual activity with women they met on duty are facing jail after being found guilty of misconduct in public office. Walters, 55 and Ritchie, 46, both engaged in sexual activity with the same victim and will be sentenced in September.

Three members of a crime group which used a religious organisation as a front for importing 400 kilos of cannabis have been sentenced. Dalton Anderson, Alvin Russell, and Sinclair Tucker, had used Vision Christian Ministries to conceal the smuggling of the drugs – which were worth up to £2m if sold in the UK.
