Illegal logging operations on the rise in Northern Victoria

There are reports trees as old as four hundred years old are being illegally cut down at rates never seen before in northern Victorian forests. Thousands of cubic metres of wood are being stolen by organised criminal groups around Shepperton with river red gum forests being stripped of centuries of growth.
