Australia’s economy grew by 0.2% in the March quarter

Australia's economy is continuing to slow according to the latest GDP figures. The data shows the economy grew by just 0.2 per cent in the first three months of the year. That's down from 0.6 per cent in the previous quarter. It's the slowest quarterly growth since the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2021. The latest figure takes the annual growth rate to 2.3 per cent. That's a significant slowdown after the nation recorded GDP growth of 2.7 per cent last quarter.
