Cyclone Mocha: Cyclonic Circulation Over Bay Of Bengal Likely To Intensify Into Depression On May 9

The India Meteorological department said that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) is likely to form on May 8 under the influence of a cyclonic circulation that lies over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea. It is likely to intensify into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea around May 9. It will be called cyclone Mocha. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Andaman Sea from May 7. Odisha government has put 18 coastal and adjoining districts on alert.
