A fire at a factory in Wolverhampton has caused major train disruptions and road closures. More than a hundred firefighters battled a major fire at a derelict factory at Lower Horseley Fields on Monday - with West Midlands Fire Service saying more than 30 of their appliances have been in attendance. Road closures are expected to remain in place for some time.

New figures have unveiled ambulance waiting times in the West Midlands. Category 1 calls saw response times hitting NHS targets. However, for category 2 calls, local NHS trusts on average were significantly below NHS targets.

Plans to open a huge bowling alley next to New Street train station have been announced. The venue would be set over three levels with a bar, a bowling alley and an arcade. The sire comprises part of the former Wades building known as 1 Queens Drive.
