Saravanan: MIC skipped BN candidate launch because 'busy'
  • last year
MIC deputy president M Saravanan said the party did not attend the Barisan Nasional candidate announcement ceremony last night because its members were busy with preparations for the upcoming general election.

He said potential candidates were busy making preparations in their respective constituencies.

He spoke to reporters today before attending the party's central working committee meeting at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

Yesterday it was reported that the BN component party is considering not fielding any candidates at all in GE15.

MIC president SA Vigneswaran told Malaysiakini that the party will hold an emergency to discuss the matter.
