[Note]

This lick is in the key of C♯ major blues.
This lick was played on V to IV chords.
The lick starts with C♯ major pentatonic run and then takes a chromatic approach toward C (technically B♯ ) , which is the M3rd of V chord.
And then back to C♯ major pentatonic run and lands on C again.
And then the lick goes chromatic towards IV chord.

It gets kind of strange from here.
Generally M3rd of the key is not suitable on IV chord in major blues, but B.B. King is using it in the chromatic move from the 5th. (B.B. King did the same thing in the Lick 4 of How Blue Can You Get Live at Sing Sing Prison 1972). I guess it's fine because it's a very short note.
And then there's an odd note that is on the 7th fret, D string. It's A, which is the m6th of the key.
The m6th doesn't generally fit in major blues.

It kind of sounds like modal interchange (short temporary key change to minor key).
So it can be interpreted like the IV7 virtually changed to IVm7.
Or it can be simply a mistake. I don't know. It sounds cool though.
And then the rest goes on with F♯ mixolydian scale (the same as B major scale) and C♯ major pentatonic scale.
The 3 notes on 11th fret are cool too. They are D♯ minor triad. It's a superimposition chord over IV chord. Basically it adds 13th flavor. This approach can be used in rhythm guitar as well.
