Mayor calls for audit after council spending allegations

The mayor of Ipswich in south-eastern Queensland is calling for a forensic audit of council-controlled entities which operated under the city's dismissed council. Right to information documents reveal tens of thousands of dollars was spent by senior council figures at the exclusive "Brisbane club" and charged to ratepayers.
