NHS launches world-first genetic testing service
  • 2 years ago
The NHS has launched the world's first national genetic testing service which will be able to diagnose and potentially save the lives of thousands of severely ill children and babies within days rather than weeks. NHS Chief Executive Amanda Pritchard says the new service is an "example of how the NHS is working tirelessly to make sure it is transforming medicine for the future" and to "cement its place" as a "world leader in genomics".
