CNN reports that authorities announced
neighborhood-wide lockdowns after
a small number of COVID cases were reported.
According to the district government, Huaqiangbei
is among three neighborhoods placed under
a mandatory four-day lockdown in the Futian district.
Residents living in the district are not allowed to leave
their homes except to receive COVID testing, which
they are required to do daily until at least September 1.
