In the tussle over the new scheme of recruitment in the army, Agneepath, where youths were seen bent on rioting and violence in the frenzy on the streets, the opposition party was very furious about it. One after the other, verbal attacks were being made about this new recruitment scheme of the Central Government. On which the government stood by its stand with some modifications, however, apart from the politicians, now the Governor of Meghalaya, Satya Pal Malik, who is on constitutional issue, has given a statement.

सेना में भर्ती की नई स्कीम अग्निपथ को लेकर मचे घमासान में, जहां सड़कों पर उन्माद में युवा उपद्रव और हिंसा पर आमादा दिखे, तो तमाव विपक्षी दल इसे लेकर बेहद आगबबूला नज़र आया था। एक के बाद एक केन्द्र सरकार की इस नई भर्ती स्कीम को लेकर ज़ुबानी प्रहार किए जा रहे थे। जिस पर सरकार तो कुछ फेर-बदल के साथ अपने रुख पर कायम रही, अलबत्ता इस पर सियासतदानों के अलावा अब संवैधानिक पर पर आसीन मेघायल के राज्यपाल सत्यपाल मलिक ने एक बयान दे डाला है।
