Meghalaya: National Highway 06 Damaged Due To Floods, At Least Three Dead Due Rain-Related Incidents

Assam has been witnessing heavy rains, floods and landslides for the past few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, till June 18. The National Highway 6 (NH-6) in Meghalaya got damaged due to landslides triggered by heavy rains. As reported by NDTV, this highway links key places in Meghalaya, Assam and Mizoram. At least three people died in Meghalaya due to landslides. Assam has reported 42 deaths due to floods this year, reported NDTV. Watch the video to know more.
