The Ashtami date, which falls on the eighth day of Holi, is celebrated as Sheetala Ashtami. Goddess Sheetla is worshiped on this day. It is believed that by worshiping the Mother Goddess, a person does not suffer any kind of physical and other troubles.

होली के आठवें दिन पड़ने वाली अष्टमी तिथि को शीतला अष्टमी के तौर पर मनाया जाता है। इस दिन देवी शीतला की पूजा की जाती है। मान्यता है कि देवी मां की आराधना करने से व्यक्ति को किसी प्रकार के शारीरिक एवं अन्य कष्ट नहीं होते हैं।
