Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection that usually affects our lungs. If this deadly disease is not treated at the right time, it can also lead to death. TB can affect not only the lungs but also our brain. Gradually, the TB bacteria enter the brain and form a lump. This lump later takes the form of TB, due to which there is swelling or lump in the membranes of the brain. It is also called meningitis tuberculosis, meningitis or brain TB.

ट्यूबरक्लोसिस यानी कि टीबी एक बैक्टीरियल इन्फेक्शन है जो कि सामान्यतः हमारे फेफड़ों को प्रभावित करती है। इस घातक बीमारी का सही समय पर सही इलाज ना करने पर जान भी जा सकती है। टीबी केवल फेफड़ों को ही नहीं हमारे दिमाग को भी प्रभावित कर सकती है। धीरे-धीरे टीबी के जीवाणु दिमाग में प्रवेश कर गांठ बना लेते हैं। ये गांठ बाद में टीबी का रूप ले लेती है, जिससे दिमाग की झिल्लियों में सूजन या गांठ पड़ जाती है। इसे मेनिनजाइटिस ट्यूबरक्लोसिस, मेनिनजाइटिस या ब्रेन टीबी भी कहा जाता है।
