An alert has been issued in Andaman and Nicobar Islands regarding the Asani cyclone. The country has a deep depression over South West Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. Due to this, the first and major cyclone of the year is expected in these areas. Stormy winds and heavy rains continue over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In these areas, there is a continuous outbreak of strong winds, on which the Meteorological Department is also keeping an eye on it.

असानी चक्रवात (Asani cyclone) को लेकर अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप (Andaman and Nicobar Islands )समूह में अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है। देश में दक्षिण पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी और अंडमान सागर पर गहरे दवाब का क्षेत्र बना हुआ है। इसके चलते इन इलाकों में साल का पहला और बड़ा चक्रवात आने की संभावना है। अंडमान निकोबार द्वीप पर तूफानी हवाएं और भारी बारिश (heavy rainfall) जारी है। इन इलाकों में तेज़ हवाओं का प्रकोप लगातार बना हुआ है जिसपर मौसम विभाग (Meteorological Department) भी लगातार नज़र बनाए हुए है.
