The country has a deep depression over South West Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. Due to this, there is a possibility of a big cyclone coming in these areas. The Meteorological Department has named this cyclone Asani. According to the IMD, a low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm around March 20 and 21.

देश में दक्षिण पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी और अंडमान सागर ( Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea) पर गहरे दवाब का क्षेत्र बना हुआ है। इसके चलते इन इलाकों में एक बड़ा चक्रवात (cyclone) आने की संभावना है। मौसम विभाग ने इस चक्रवात को असानी (Cyclone Asani) नाम दिया है। भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (Meteorological Department ) ने जानकारी दी है कि दक्षिण पूर्व बंगाल की खाड़ी और उससे सटे दक्षिण अंडमान सागर पर कम दबाव का क्षेत्र पूर्व-उत्तर-पूर्व की ओर बढ़ गया है और 20 मार्च को एक दबाव और 21 मार्च के आसपास चक्रवाती तूफान आसनी में तेज होने की संभावना है.
