Indians In Ukraine: Students Moved Out Of Sumy, En Route To Poltava Says MEA

On March 8, the foreign affairs ministry said that evacuation of more than 600 students stranded in Sumy, Ukraine has started. Arindam Bagchi, MEA Spokesperson tweeted, “Happy to inform that we have been able to move out all Indian students from Sumy.” On March 8, the Indian Embassy issued an advisory stating, “The Humanitarian Corridor for evacuation of stranded people has been announced in various parts of Ukraine.” Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an attack on Ukraine on February 24.
