West Bengal Announces Fresh Curbs As Covid-19 Cases Rise, Schools To Shut, Offices To Operate At 50%

On January 2, West Bengal imposed restrictions amid the rising cases of Covid-19. A night curfew has been announced from 10 pm to 5 am. Starting January 3, schools, colleges and universities will be closed. Gyms, beauty salons, spas, swimming pools & wellness centers will also be closed. All government and private offices to operate at 50% capacity. West Bengal will operate flights from Delhi and Mumbai only twice a week which will be on Monday and Tuesday with effect from January 5. West Bengal reported 6,153 Covid-19 cases on January 2.
