Japanese lickable TV screen imitates food flavours, creating multisensory viewing experience

Homei Miyashita from Japan’s Meiji University has created a lickable TV screen to allow viewers to taste what they see. “Taste the TV” (TTTV) uses a “flavour spray” technology to create a multi-sensory viewing experience. Miyashita says his invention was inspired by the pandemic when people were unable to enjoy restaurant food.
