The Selangor government expects the flood at Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam to recede much faster now, after power was restored to a 'jammed' sluice gate that controls the flow of water into the nearest river.

Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari in a brief update of the situation this morning said another generator from Tenaga Nasional Bhd was successfully taken to the gate.

"The sluice gate in Sri Muda is now operational again with power supply from a TNB generator."
