In 2018, filmmaker Leena Manimekalai accused director Susi Ganesan of sexually harassing her, she has faced a slew of cases after that. Susi Ganesan filed for defamation, and Leena’s passport was impounded. Though Leena got some relief from the courts, she says she feels unsafe due to other intimidation tactics. Leena speaks to Dhanya Rajendran about her fight, the lack of support from the film industry and why she is motivated to speak out.
