The Amritsar Sacrilege incident has stirred politics in Punjab. On Dec 18, an alleged incident of sacrilege hit the holiest shrine of the Sikhs, the Golden Temple, Amritsar. As per sources, a young man jumped into the sacred sanctorum of the Darbar Sahab and tried to take away the Kirpan, which was lying near the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book. Soon after being caught, the accused was taken to the SGPC headquarters and he was beaten to death in lynching. Now, this has stirred the politics and the security of the Golden Temple and other religious shrines have been tightened. Watch this video.
