Amid the ongoing Opposition’s protest over the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha members, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said that the Opposition parties are stopping the Rajya Sabha from functioning and spreading false information.

“The Opposition parties are not letting Rajya Sabha function and are trying to spread misinformation. Today in Rajya Sabha, a discussion on Omicron variant was scheduled but the Opposition doesn't have any issues and decided to not raise any public issues,” said Piyush Goyal.
