Federal Government blocks attempt to bring on debate over national ICAC

The Federal Government has narrowly blocked an attempt by the Senate crossbench, Greens and the Opposition to bring on debate over a national anti-corruption commission in the upper house. The Coalition has been criticised for not introducing legislation to establish a Commonwealth Integrity Commission, given it first announced the proposal in late 2018
