Campaigners in Canterbury say it will be a tragedy if an historic meadow is concreted over for a huge car park.
The council plans to build hundreds of new park and ride spaces in Wincheap as part of a wider scheme that will see a new exit off the A2 into the city.
However there are concerns about what it could mean for a nature reserve.
