The festival of Chhath Puja is celebrated with great pomp in many places of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. This festival is very special for the people of North India. Chhath Maiya is worshiped during Chhath Puja. People visit the holy ghats in the morning to offer Arghya to the Sun. There is a huge crowd of people during the puja. For this reason, the Union Health Ministry has taken a big initiative regarding Chhath Puja. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will release an audio-visual song by renowned folk, classical singer and Padma Bhushan awardee Sharda Sinha, to seek 'Jan-Bhagidari' towards observance of COVID safe behaviour during the upcoming Chhath Puja.

Chhath Puja का पर्व Bihar, झारखंड ( Jharkhand,) और Uttar Pradesh की कई जगहों पर घूमधाम से मनाया जाता है. उत्तर भारत के लोगों के लिए ये त्योहार बेहद खास होता है. छठ पूजा के दौरान छठी मैया की पूजा की जाती है. लोग सुबह सूर्य को अर्घय देने के लिए पवित्र घाटों पर जाते हैं। पूजा के दौरान लोगों की काफी भीड़ उमड़ती है। इसी वजह से केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने छठ पूजा को लेकर बड़ी पहल की है। छठ पूजा के मौके पर लोग कोरोना प्रोटोकॉल का पालन करें इसके लिए केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय पद्म भूषण पुरस्कार से सम्मानित लोक गायिका शारदा सिन्हा के गीत का सहारा लेगा.
