Twitter Tests Bigger Pictures In Timeline

Twitter ($TWTR@US) is testing new changes to how photos and videos appear on the app. The experience will be closer to how images appear on other services such as Instagram. The new feature will expand visual media embedded in a tweet to fill the whole width of a mobile phone screen. Currently, images are indented next to a user’s profile photo and take up much less screen space. Twitter has also been testing upvote and downvote buttons similar to those on Reddit. It also launched a ‘tip jar’ feature to allow users to pay each other for tweets. These changes follow its recent unveiling of Super Follows, which allows for paid subscriber-only content.
