'Absolutely heartwarming footage of a group of friends risking their safety to rescue a dog from floodwater.
"My friends and I went to the seaside after the flood had entered Sinop [Turkey], and saw a puppy sitting on the pieces of wood and garbage that came with the flood," the filmer Emre KILIÇASLA told us. "ONE wrong move could have caused us to fall into the sea and drown, but we didn't want to leave the dog alone."
The filmer added: "So, we put a longboard under our feet, formed a human chain, and rescued the dog. Then, we washed it with clean water and fed it before delivering it to the nearest animal shelter."
This commendable act was caught on camera on August 11, 2021. In less than a week, this clip amassed close to 100K views on Twitter.
