Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman Retires From Supreme Court: Milestones & Landmark Cases Of His Judicial Career

Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman, retires on August 12, 2021. This comes after seven years as a Supreme Court judge. He leaves behind a pile of judgments that sought to further free speech, personal liberty & privacy, cleanse politics, rein in constitutional authorities and recalcitrant businesses and ensure gender justice. Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman is the son of noted jurist Fali Nariman and a postgraduate from Harvard Law School. He was designated as a senior counsel in December 1993, at the young age of 37. He was appointed as the Solicitor General of India in July 2011 for three years, while practising as a senior counsel in the Supreme Court. However, in February 2013, he gave up the position.
