Amit Panghal the top seed in the flyweight category at the Tokyo Olympics was eliminated in his very first bout of the Games after a 1-4 defeat to Colombian Rio Olympics silver medallist Yuberjen Martínez. Panghal who was making his Olympic debut won the first round but ended up falling well behind in the second and third as Martinez took control.
