Pan Shixue could never find a job he liked, not until he returned to his hometown of Maliao village in Guizhou, China. There, he rediscovered the villagers’ history of making silver jewelry. Years of honing the craft led Pan to open the village’s first silversmith workshop — today it’s home to over 600 silversmiths. We learn how one man’s dream brought life back again to an entire town.
