India reported 38,792 new Covid-19 cases and 624 deaths in 24 hours on Wednesday, as per the Union health ministry's data. The nation's cumulative Covid case count is now 3.09 crore and the total toll stands at 4,11,408. The country also registered 41,000 recoveries in the same period, taking the current active caseload to 4,29,946 cases. As compared to Tuesday's figures, more than 7,000 additional fresh cases were registered on Wednesday. On Tuesday, India had reported its lowest daily spike in cases in nearly four months at 31,443.
