Humans are the most developed creatures in this world. Perhaps that’s also the reason why humans are called the most intelligent creatures, with the ability to speak, communicate and take decisions. However, humans also co-exist with other animals in this world. Many animals are dependent on humans for food and other necessities. And there is one person in Jagatsinghpur who understood the pain of dogs, who could not express their hunger and plight during the COVID-19 lockdown period in the country. This is Pradeep Kumar Mitra, fondly called as ‘Nilu’. This man from Jagatsinghpur has taken on himself to feed stray dogs in his area every day.
Nilu says that after the municipality members refused to lend help in feeding stray dogs, he took charge of the situation. He had collaborated with meat and other suppliers who freely contribute to his noble venture.
The people in his locality are also immensely supportive of Nilu and feel proud of his love for animals.
In this world dominated by self-centricity, people like Nilu prove that selfless affection can be shared with all living beings in this world, even with the ones that don’t speak our language.
