Human-animal conflicts continue to surface at an alarming frequency in the State of Odisha. Another incident was reported from a village in Sambalpur where an elephant strayed into human habitation triggering chaos and panic.

As you can see, the elephant entered in the village triggering panic among the people. Though people tried to chase the elephant away, the jumbo seemed stuck and kept running haywire in the village. It even tried to break the window of a house.

This incident was from Haladibahal village under Rengali Forest Range of Sambalpur district. Although no loss to loss to life or property was reported, the locals chased the elephant away, which unfortunately entered another village.
