What Are Some Organizations That Help Veterans in Athens, Ga? NE Georgia Homeless Veterans Shelter!

How you doing guys, my name is George Kassaev, and I'm a realtor in Athens, Georgia, with Give Back Real Estate. I'm here with Fawn with the northeast homeless veterans shelter in Georgia, and she's going to tell you about their program and how to get involved Fawn, take it away.
Thank you, George. We are the northeast Georgia homeless veteran shelter. I am a veteran myself, I'm also a licensed ordained minister. This is my ministry to give back and to help homeless veterans and their families. I believe that if you are serving your family is serving with you just as well. So we are open to non-veterans and their families. What we do is help veterans get a job. We have employers committed to giving our veterans employment. That way once you're employed, now you can save money for first rent deposits or even save and use your VA loan to purchase a home.

Once you're there, you are going to see all of the veterans that we have placed in permanent housing their testimony, their words. It's better to hear from the people I serve, I could stand here and tell you all day long how wonderful I think we are, but it's better to hear from the people and the veterans themselves who have benefited from our program. You can get involved if you would like to. Cash donations are always nice. But things that we use daily, trash bags, paper towels, believe it or not, toilet paper. There are a lot of things that we use daily. Receiving those would be just like giving us money, that's things that we don't have to buy. Unfortunately, because of the situation with Covid, we had to dispose of our utensils. Plastic knives, forks, and things like that it's just like giving us money.
