Johor police chief Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay told a press conference today that 12 people, including 10 police personnel and two MACC officers, were arrested over their alleged involvement in the illegal activities of the Nicky Gang.

He said the arrests were made by Johor Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) personnel under Phase 2 of Op Pelican 3.0, adding that the suspects have been remanded for 28 days under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).

Yesterday, the Pahang Palace revoked and stripped fugitive businessman Liow Soon Hee or Nicky Liow of the Darjah Kebesaran Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) and 'Datuk Seri' title with immediate effect.
