The Board of Control for Cricket in India President Sourav Ganguly has made a confirmation that Mumbai will host the IPL matches in the 2021 edition despite the spike in COVID-19 cases in the city. Recently the 10 groundsmen of the Wankhede Stadium and a few event managers had tested positive for the novel virus.

महाराष्ट्र में कोरोना वायरस के बढ़ते मामलों की वजह से आईपीएल के आयोजन पर भी सवालिया निशान खड़ा हो रहा है. मुंबई का वानखेड़े मैदान 14वें सीजन के आयोजन के लिए बेहद ही अहम वेन्यू है. बीसीसीआई के अध्यक्ष सौरव गांगुली ने साफ कर दिया है कि आईपीएल के 14वें सीजन का आयोजन पहले से तय कार्यक्रम के मुताबिक ही होगा. सौरव गांगुली का कहना है कि कोरोना के बढ़ते मामलों के बावजूद मुंबई में पहले से तय सभी मुकाबले खेले जाएंगे.
