Two subspecies of red pandas are known, one that is distributed from Nepal to India and the other that is distributed in China.
It lives in a bamboo-rich forest at an altitude of 1,800m to 4,000m, and eats bamboo shoots, bamboo shoots, leaves, acorns, fruits, and small animals.
He is good at climbing trees and spends most of the day resting on the trees.

公園全体の面積は9.1ヘクタールで、動物園の面積は3.3ヘクタールです。
周辺には横浜市中央図書館などがあり、野毛山公園はちょっとしたお散歩コースになっています。
