Lar gibbon　シロテナガザル　【東武動物公園】

Lar gibbon is 42-59 cm long, 4,5-7.5 kg in weight, and is distributed in Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, the Malay Peninsula, and the northern part of the tiger barb.
There is a slight difference in body color depending on the distribution area, regardless of age or gender.
In the wild, we mainly eat fruits as our staple food, but we also eat leaves, buds and flowers.

Tobu Zoo was opened in Saitama Prefecture in 1981 as a project to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Tobu Railway.

シロテナガザルは、体長42〜59cm　体重4,5〜7,5kg　ビルマ、タイ、カンボジア、マレー半島、スマトラの北部に分布しています。
年齢や性別などに関係なく、分布域によって多少体色に差があります。
野生では主に、果物を主食として食べていますが、木の葉、芽、花なども食べています。

東武動物公園は、1981年に、東武鉄道創立80周年記念事業として埼玉県に開園。
