Chris Silverwood praises Ashwin and Axar Patel's performance in Test Series | Oneindia Sports

England coach Chris Silverwood praised Indian spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel, stating the spin duo made life “very hard” for the visitors, who lost the series 3-1. Ashwin and Axar combined to claim 59 English wickets as the Joe Root-led side squandered a 1-0 advantage and suffered three back-to-back defeats. With a win in the final Test, India roared into the World Test Championship (WTC) final, which will be held in England in June.

इंग्लैंड के कोच क्रिस सिल्वरवुड ने बड़ा बयान दिया है. सीरिज खत्म होने के बाद क्रिस सिल्वरवुड ने अश्विन और अक्षर पटेल की तारीफ में बड़ी बात कही है. क्रिस सिल्वरवुड ने माना है कि अश्विन और अक्षर पटेल इंग्लैंड के लिए सबसे खतरा साबित हुए. इन्हीं दोनों गेंदबाजों को इंग्लैंड के बल्लेबाज खेल नहीं सके. और इंग्लैंड सीरिज हार गई. गौरतलब है कि पहला टेस्ट मैच जीतने के बाद इंग्लैंड की टीम का आत्मविश्वास काफी बढ़ गया था. लेकिन, इसके बाद बाकी के बचे तीनों ही मैच भारत ने आसानी से जीत लिया. रैंक टर्नर पिच पर अश्विन और अक्षर पटेल के आगे सभी बल्लेबाज पस्त हो गए. सीरिज में दोनों गेंदबाजों ने मिलकर कुल 59 विकेट हासिल किये. जिसमें अश्विन ने अकेले 32 विकेट चटकाए. जबकि अक्षर पटेल ने 27 विकेट हासिल किये.
