A weekend of glorious sunshine was made complete by the incredible sighting of a humpback whale swimming near to the Farne Islands.

Andrew Douglas from Serenity Farne Island Boat Tours captured the beautiful sight on video.

Andrew said he saw the whale from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, February 27, calling the experience ‘four hours of pure bliss.’ 

Dolphins were also captured on camera by Jake Dawson in Amble.
