The Sardar Patel Stadium, also known as Motera cricket stadium, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is the largest cricket stadium in the world. The old stadium was closed in 2015 for reconstruction and next week's Test match will be the first international to be played at the ground since November 2014. India and England are all set to play the third Test in Ahmedabad from February 23. The newly-built stadium in Ahmedabad, which is the largest cricket ground in the world, has a capacity of 110,000 which trumps the MCG in Australia that can accommodate 90,000 people.
