Mok-yeon, unemployment assistance for Americans expired at midnight on Sunday,.... as President Trump refused to sign the 2-point-three trillion dollar stimulus package.
That bill includes major COVID-19 relief programs,... which uses some 9-hundred billion dollars to extend current payments to jobless workers.
The package would also extend the federal eviction moratorium,... which is set to expire on the last day of December.
Without an extension, millions could be kicked out of their homes immediately.
Latest studies show that nearly 10 million Americans were dependent on these two assistance programs.
Besides the impact on people, Trump’s resistance to signing the bill threatens a government shutdown when funding runs out at midnight on Tuesday.
