Thousands convene in North Korea's Kim Il-sung square

Satellite images of North Korea has revealed thousands gathered in Pyongyang's Kim Il-sung square on Saturday.
This is according to 38 North, a news website dedicated to analyzing events in North Korea.
The large crowd seemed to be rehearsing for an event, possibly the Eighth Congress of the Workers' party planned for January.
The people were in formation spelling out 'Kyeol-sa-ong-wee' , which means to defend to the death.
The party's congress is a national event, which convenes every few years to review policies while also instilling public loyalty to the party.
In the party's eighth congress, North Korea will lay out their new five-year economic plan.
