ఎస్సీ విద్యార్థుల పోస్ట్ మెట్రిక్ స్కాలర్‌షిప్స్ పథకానికి కేంద్ర కేబినెట్ ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. రాబోయే ఐదేళ్లలో 4 కోట్ల మంది ఎస్సీ విద్యార్థులకు స్కాలర్‌షిప్‌లు అందించేందుకు మొత్తం రూ. 59 వేల కోట్లు వెచ్చించేందుకు నిర్ణయించింది. ఇందులో 60 శాతం శాతం కేంద్రం భరించనుండగా, 40 శాతం ప్రభుత్వాలు భరించనున్నాయని కేంద్రమంత్రి థావర్ చంద్ర గెహ్లాట్ తెలిపారు.
