Apple is trying to break into the self-driving car sector.
Citing anonymous sources, Reuters reports that Apple is looking to produce a personal autonomous vehicle by 2024 using its own battery tech.
At the center of Apple's so-called Project Titan is a new, cheaper battery.
It reportedly gives the car a potentially longer range and it is less likely to overheat, making it safer than other lithium-ion batteries.
However, the project could be delayed to 2025 or later due to the pandemic.
