The Chief Minister will on Tuesday inaugurate the YSR free crop insurance scheme, which will provide relief to farmers who have lost their crop yields due to heavy rains, droughts and other natural calamities at the time of harvest. About Rs 1,252 crore will be provided as insurance compensation to 9.48 lakh farmers who lost their crops during the 2019 season. On Tuesday, the CM will press the computer button at his camp office and deposit the amount directly in the farmers' bank accounts.
